Director, K-12 Coaching and Recruitment

 

Mrs. Billups fell in love with Reynolds during a graduate internship in 2010 and never left! She joined the department as the first ACA Career Coachin 2012. In the fall of 2014, Hilda M. Billups assumed the role of Advance College Academy Career Coach Coordinator. In this role, she supported students in the program across the Reynolds service region by mentoring and training the career coaches assigned to ACA student populations. In 2017, Mrs. Billups became the Director of K-12 Coaching and Recruitment. Mrs. Billups holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (Duke University) and a Masters of Science in Higher Education with an emphasis in student development (Kaplan University). Mrs. Billups views building rapport as the most fundamental component of career coaching and recruitment.

Yvette D. Brooks is the K12 Coaching and Recruitment Support Specialist. She is a native of Richmond and a Reynolds Alumnus. In 2012, Ms. Brooks earned an A.S. in Business Administration.

Dr. Christine Booker is currently the Recruitment Coordinator at Reynolds Community College. She has worked in higher education for over fifteen years in different capacities. Dr. Booker is a magna cum laude graduate from VCU, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She also holds a Master of Public Health degree from the School of Medicine at MCV/VCU and an EdS (Educational Leadership and Policy Studies) post graduate degree from Virginia Tech. Lastly, she has a PhD degree in Human Services from the School of Public Service Leadership at Capella University. In addition to these accomplishments, Dr. Booker is an Army Nurse Veteran. She has also served as an adjunct Associate Professor at Reynolds and as an adjunct faculty member at Virginia Commonwealth University.
