Reynolds Student Essay Contest Winners Honored

Richmond, Va. (April 20, 2018) – Reynolds Student Essay Contest winners were honored at a reception Friday, April 20 on the Parham Road campus. About 30 people attended which included the winners' family members, teachers and program heads.

Reynolds Students Win at Phi Beta Lambda Leadership Conference

Richmond, Va. (April 14, 2018) – Reynolds students along with Professor of Economics Dr. Mel Burton attended the Virginia Phi Beta Lambda Leadership Conference held in Richmond April 13 - 15. 14 Virginia colleges and universities participated in the conference and once again, Reynolds students did very well.

Reynolds to Host MAPS Annual Member Exhibit

Richmond, Va. (March 15, 2018)  Reynolds Community College is pleased to announce that for the first time it will host the MidAtlantic Pastel Society (MAPS) Second Annual Judged Exhibit in the Conference Center Gallery in the Workforce Development and Conference Center on Reynolds Community College’s Parham Road Campus. The exhibit will be open from Tuesday, May 8 until Thursday, June 28.  This exhibit is an excellent opportunity for Reynolds faculty, students and staff to view soft pastels created by these talented artists.

Reynolds Students Named Coca-Cola Scholars

Richmond, Va. (March 15, 2018)  Reynolds Community College is pleased to announce that two of its students have been selected as 2018 Coca-Cola Academic Team Scholars. James Brown and Donald Cooper were selected from more than 2,000 applicants and named as Coca-Cola Bronze Scholars.

Reynolds Preview Day Series in April

Richmond, Va. (March 14, 2018)  Reynolds Community College is pleased to open its doors to all 12th graders who plan to attend college this fall and their parents for a series of Preview Days schedule in April. These events are FREE and registration is not required. Light refreshments will be served at each event.

Reynolds Goochland Campus Hosts Garden Fest

Richmond, Va. (March 11, 2018)  “Spring in the Garden” is the theme of the 2018 Annual Spring Garden Fest hosted by Reynolds Community College, the Goochland-Powhatan Master Gardeners and the Virginia Cooperative Extension. This year’s event is Saturday, April 21 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine, on the Reynolds Goochland Campus, 1851 Dickinson Road, Goochland 23063.

Reynolds Honors Student Receives NCHC Stipend

Richmond, Va. (March 5, 2018)  Reynolds Community College Honors Student Meghan Clancy has been selected by the National Collegiate Honors Council to receive a stipend for a summer fieldwork trip.

Reynolds Receives Generous Donation from Henrietta Near

Richmond, Va. (March 1, 2018)  Reynolds Community College has received a generous gift from local artist and gallery founder Henrietta Near. More than 40 pieces of Ms. Near’s artwork have been added to the Reynolds Art Collection and will be exhibited permanently on all three of the college’s campuses.

aiding Richmond's East End workforce opportunities

Richmond, Va. (February 14, 2018) Reynolds Community College has received a $100,000 grant from Capital One to bring more workforce opportunities, especially in culinary arts and hospitality, to Richmond's East End.

Search for Reynolds New President

Richmond, Va. (February 13, 2018) – The initial stages of a nationwide search process for the next president of Reynolds Community College are now underway. As Dr. Gary L. Rhodes prepares to retire as president in September 2018, the college and the Virginia Community College system will conduct a comprehensive, community-focused search for his successor.

Richmond, Va. (February 15, 2018) – Reynolds Community College will host an “Around the World Through Film” event on Friday, February 16, at 6 p.m. at the Downtown Campus, 700 East Jackson Street, Room 250. This event is free and open to the public.

Reynolds Annual Student Art Show
to be Judged by Chuck Scalin

Richmond, Va. (February 1, 2018) – The 2018 Reynolds Student Art Show will be on display from March 24 to April 30 in the Conference Center Gallery in the Workforce Development and Conference Center on J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College’s Parham Road Campus. Faculty, staff, students and the public are invited to view paintings, drawings, digital media, mixed media and photographs created by Reynolds art students.
